Professor Michael Milford, electrical engineer and Director of the QUT Robotics Centre, is a self-confessed avid movie geek.
In 2018, Milford spoke with create about the depictions of engineering in movies such as Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol and classic action flick Speed.
“When analysing engineering concepts in the movies, you’ve always got to ask yourself, ‘How realistic is this?’,” he said. “‘How much of this is Hollywood magic?’”
Now, Milford is back to debate the viability of engineering concepts presented in five further films, including sci-fi blockbuster Elysium and psychological thriller Leave the World Behind.
