This week marks the sixth annual UNESCO World Engineering Day for Sustainable Development, an occasion that was first announced by Engineers Australia at the World Engineers Convention in 2019.
“Engineering is at the heart of our modern world, and engineers are vital in creating sustainable, secure, healthy, just and prosperous communities,” former Engineers Australia CEO Dr Bronwyn Evans said on the inaugural day.
Engineers in Australia and abroad are always pushing the envelope of innovation, bringing fresh eyes to common problems and delivering pathways to solving issues of sustainable development.
