Peter Newman

Peter Newman is a professor of sustainability at Curtin University. His research focuses on transport practices and systems, and how urban redevelopment can be planned with sustainability in mind. In 2014 he was awarded an Order of Australia for his contributions to urban design and sustainable transport, particularly related to the saving and rebuilding of Perth’s rail system. And in 2018, he was named the WA Scientist of the Year.
